How do you stage gear?

Odor complaints get a root-cause fix, not just deodorizer.

Do you offer maintenance plans for buildings?

We log every visit with photos and recommendations.

Are you equipped for old pipes?

Yesnozzles and pressures are tuned to protect aging cast iron while clearing debris; we carry couplings and seals sized for legacy lines.

Will you disturb residents?

We communicate with residents, limit noise, and stage gear to minimize disruption. For sensitive hours, we schedule quieter tasks first.

Can you educate us?

We share live scope footage, explain what you are seeing, and give actionable steps to avoid repeat issues.

City scenarios and how we handle them

A walk-up apartment in Steelton, PA had a kitchen stack clog every holiday. We scoped, found grease and rice buildup, jetted the stack, and set pre-holiday maintenance. Zero backups since.

A boutique cafes floor drain overflowed during brunch. We staged mats, cleared the main, sanitized floors, and set a monthly grease-management plan. The cafe stayed open with no lost revenue.

A condo board complained about recurring gurgles. Our camera showed vent blockage and partial sludge. We cleared, balanced vents, and provided a report for all unit owners. Gurgles stopped.

A salon faced hair-heavy drains weekly. We installed accessible cleanouts, set enzyme dosing, and trained staff on disposal habits. Service calls dropped dramatically.

A brownstone with aging cast iron saw black sludge backups. We tuned jetting pressure, descaled carefully, and mapped the line for future planning. The owner deferred costly replacement while keeping drains clear.

A retail space had sewer odor near the entrance. We traced a dry trap and a loose cleanout cap, sealed both, and added a maintenance reminder. Odor vanished before the weekend foot traffic.

An HOA requested proof before approving stack jetting. We captured video, shared findings, and outlined phased work by riser. Approval came in one meeting.

A gyms locker room drains slowed nightly. We scheduled post-close jetting, sanitized floors, and applied enzymes. Members returned to fresh, fast drains each morning.

City maintenance playbook

Monthly: enzyme dosing for restaurants, salons, and gyms; quick visual checks of cleanouts in hallways or basements; wipe traps and caps to prevent odor creep. Quarterly: jetting shared stacks in hair-heavy or grease-heavy buildings; camera checks on known problem risers. Semiannual: pre-holiday scopes for high-occupancy buildings and businesses with seasonal spikes.

Air bubbles, echoing drains, and damp grout lines hint at venting or partial blockagesaddress them early.

Housekeeping habits: never pour fats or coffee grounds, use strainers in every sink and shower, and run hot water after soapy loads. For buildings, post simple drain rules in utility rooms to guide tenants.

Prepping ahead keeps common areas dry and businesses open.

Documentation: we log photos, videos, and recommendations after each visit so boards and managers have a living record of the systems health.

After initial habitation by Susquehannock Indians and subsequent nearby Harrisburg establishment, the area was owned by the Kelker family of Harrisburg by the 1800s. The 100-acre area was chosen in 1866 by Samuel Morse Felton Sr., president of the Pennsylvania Steel Company, to begin construction of a steel mill. This particular site was favored because of the location's proximity to the Pennsylvania Railroad, the Pennsylvania Canal, and the nearby iron mine in Cornwall, Lebanon County. The land was purchased from owners Henry A. and Rudolph F. Kelker; then, steel pioneer Alexander Lyman Holley was chosen to build the mill along the Susquehanna River, which was completed by 1867 (along with a mansion for Felton), and began operation on May 15, 1868. Originally named "Baldwin" after Matthias W. Baldwin, founder of the Baldwin Locomotive Works, by 1871 it had changed to "Steel Works" after the existence of another Baldwin, Pennsylvania Post Office, and finally "Steelton" in 1879 after confusion of the Post Office with the steel mill itself. It was incorporated as a borough on January 19, 1880. The extensive steel works of the Pennsylvania Steel Company later became operated by Bethlehem Steel, ArcelorMittal, and currently Cleveland-Cliffs. Also present at one time were brickyards, a flouring mill, and machine shops.
